FAQ
What Batch does, what it replaces, what it runs on and what it costs, without the sales version.
Plans and billing
The questions people ask before they choose a plan.
Every plan is a monthly subscription for the whole business, and you process cards with Batch at the rate we quote you. Text messages and AI usage are billed on what you use. Basic runs the counter, Plus adds the back office, and Enterprise is quoted.
Basic runs the counter: card payments, the point of sale, the floor, inventory, team and reporting. Plus adds the back office: payroll runs, a double-entry general ledger, loyalty and multi-location roll-ups. Enterprise is for chains and high volume, and it is quoted.
We quote it against your volume. At that size the processing rate is the bigger number and it depends on what you run and your card mix, so we come back with the rate and the plan price together. There is no list price to quote you.
No long-term contract and no setup fee. Move up or down a plan whenever you want.
Yes. Stock, drawers and close-outs are kept location by location, a person’s role applies across the business, and reports read either one location or all of them. Billing is per business, so opening another location does not open another subscription.
The product
What Batch does, and where each module stops.
Yes. Payments, the floor, inventory, scheduling, team, marketing and the books share one login, one database and one bill. Turn on the parts you use and the rest stays out of the way.
Yes. There is a public booking page backed by real availability per provider, overlaps are refused by the database rather than by the screen, and slots are computed in the location’s own timezone. The booking, the payment and the customer end up on one record.
No. The ledger runs underneath whether or not you open it: sales, refunds, stock at cost and paid payroll runs post themselves. If you do have an accountant, they get a general ledger that balances instead of a pile of exports.
Batch keeps the payroll record: hours from the time clock, declared tips, a run with a line per person, and the journal entry a paid run posts. It does not move payroll money, and it does not pay staff individually.
It keeps no clinical or patient records, it has no case or matter billing, and it does not move money on your behalf beyond taking card payments. Where a module stops, the page for it says so.
Hardware and your data
What it runs on, and what happens to the records you keep in it.
Two things at the counter: the register your team rings on, and the customer-facing pad the card is read on. The pad also comes off the counter and keeps working on Wi-Fi or 4G, so you can take payment at the table, at the curb or at an event. Kitchen display and menu-board screens run on ordinary displays.
Batch does not store card numbers. The terminal encrypts the card at the reader, and the sale keeps the last four digits. Each person sees only what their role allows, and each business’s data is kept separate, with row-level isolation in the database as a second check.
It stays yours. Customers, visits, consent and loyalty balances are your records and can be exported. A customer served at one location is the same customer at the next.
Choose a plan and create the account, or talk to us first if you would rather we looked at how the business runs today. Either way a person sets up your processing with you, because the rate depends on your volume and card mix.
